Have you ever started something and as your get going there is just that one more thing that you want to add to the project and then maybe one more thing and before you know it you have this huge project on your hands. Well here is a great story that I have to get out before the wife tells you.
To give you the background first. We lived in a house with one bathroom. The bathroom had the tub, toilet and sink like most and we had a shower in the basement. We had lived in this house for 3 years and I was getting sick of seeing PINK tile on the walls (they were plastic tiles to make it worse). Well one day I get this great idea that it is time to remove the tile (this is the first mistake of many). I start right behind the door where the door knob hits the wall. The tiles are coming off really easy but there is this glue that is behind them and WELL I tell myself that has has to come off so that I can paint over that (this is the second error). As I'm taking that off some of the plaster is falling off the wall. You got it, that has to come off but what about the crap behind that (error 3&4)? Then there is the pink tub, has to go and this is where I tell Krissy to come and look before the tub is out.
So at this point I have a huge hole in the wall and we are at the point of no return (shit). Out to the garage to get the hammer to break the tub up to get it out of the house. Krissy at this point thinks that I have lost my mind (looking back she was correct). I hit the tub once and get a good crack. Swing two and the hammer goes through the tub and my hand hits the tub on the crack. I look down thinking "that is going to leave a mark" and see a nice crack in my finger. "O HONEY I think that I might need to go to the hospital" Day one out of the way. 5 minutes into the project and we now have a hole in the wall and in the tub. And as for the hand 3 stiches in the right index finger and shall we say that I now have more money invested in the project then what I ever thought that we would.
You will have to check back because this project is just getting started but I have to go. Here is another thing about me start and it can sometimes take a while it get completed. (Love you honey!!!!!)
